Al Capone Eatery Burned to Ground
June 9, 2010: Firefighters were not able to save the Riviera Restaurant from the fire flames. The famed old restaurant, established sixty miles away from Chicago, was entirely gutted.
Getting water on the fire was not easy since there were no hydrants close to the restaurant. Tankers were called in to bring water to firefighters.
Other crews from some communities in the region were also called to help.
No one was hurt in the fire. An investigation is now underway.
